Pop of Yellow — Triangle Weave

Yellow is my color. It legitimately sparks joy + speaks to my soul in profound ways. It’s the color that always shows up unexpectedly when I am processing big feels. So, for week four of #100daysofphotostofibers, I drew inspiration from this photo I took the week I got the news that “permanently disable” was a new normal for me. Tears were silently rolling down my cheeks as the weight of that reality came crashing around me, but as I looked up I saw these beautiful pops of yellow in an otherwise starkly blank space. It was the subtle reminder that even when staring down the unknown future, there is beauty + joy waiting to be discovered.

I set out to create a hopeful abstract weave as a reminder to always be on the lookout for the color that is waiting to burst through. Incorporating both botanically dyed golden yellows with squishy merino wool, there are so many details woven into a 12” metal frame that can either lean on a shelf, or hang from any side or point.

For #the100dayproject, my original photos will also be available for purchase. If you would like to purchase the print of The Pop of Yellow, it is available here.

Size: 12” Equilateral Triangle

Color: White, Ivory, Mustard, Golden Yellow + Lemon within a metal frame

Previously Sold. If you want me to recreate something similar, please contact me.

With every sale, you choose a project you would like to support. My hope is that it would connect you to some incredible work that is being done around the world. Together, we are #knotjustthreads, we are an interwoven tapestry and when we come together, beautiful things can happen.

I have been intentional with the organizations I have chosen to support. I know that it is not only important to know where the money goes, but to know that the work is being done in sustainable ways to produce a long-lasting impact. Having personally partnered with each of these organizations in the field, I have seen how they practice love in action.
