The fiber artist + creative behind Threads With Purpose.
My heart beats for stories, and the people who live them. I weave personal stories, experiences, and emotions into every piece I create because I believe our lives are like the threads of a tapestry. No one thread is out of place. Each one is needed. And when we come together, beautiful things happen.
As a colorful homebody, I understand that your home is your retreat. The safe space to rest and reflect with the ones you love. My hope is to create textile arts that inspire you while within your walls to go out into this beautiful world and love so wholeheartedly that no one thread will ever feel out of place.
Sustainable Materials
From the very beginning, I’ve saved all my scraps to not let anything go to waste and have found ways to creatively use them. And if my art could help environmental issues, even on a small scale, I seek them out. Here are a few highlights:
Cotton is recycled cotton from the garment industry that was headed for the landfills.
All silks and chiffons are recycled and fair trade, providing living wages to marginalized communities.
100% wool is fair trade, ethically sourced, hand-dyed and spun in small batches.
Wool fibers are eco-dyed using botanicals and natural materials.
Cotton is Oeko Tex certified.
Ethically sourced Merino + recycled plastic bottles = my favorite chunky fiber!
Oh, and did I mention, my materials come from women-owned, women-run businesses from around the globe?
